Colombia Update: FOREIGNERS’ REGISTRY

Companies that hire foreigners or invite them to meetings or to dictate or participate in training, among other activities, must register the start and end of the activities in the Information System for the Report of Foreigners (SIRE) of Migration Colombia.

This registration must be made within fifteen (15) calendar days following the start and end of the foreigners’ activities.

Likewise, there is an obligation to report in the Registry of Foreign Workers (RUTEC) of the Ministry of Labor the hiring of foreign personnel within 30 calendar days following the hiring.

From the Firm, we can support with these registries so that the company complies with the obligations required by the Colombian government.
