Colombia Update: RESOLUTION 5477 OF 2022: NEW VISA REGULATION

By means of Resolution 5477 of 2022, the visa regulations were modified. Said Resolution will be enforceable as of October 21, 2022.

Through this Resolution, the categories of visas are expanded, as well as the requirements for the application of the different types of visas are modified.

Thus, in order to update the visa application platform, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs communicated through its website that, as of September 30, 2022, at 5:00 P.M. (Colombia time), the processing of visa applications will be suspended until October 21, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. (Colombia hour).

In this sense, the visa application platform will be enabled with the new visa classification as of October 21, 2022.
