Italy Update: Aid package for the tourism sector

With the decree for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), launched by the Council of Ministers on 27 October 2021, comes an articulated package of aid measures to support the tourism sector. They range from an 80% tax credit, which can be combined with a non-repayable contribution, to the creation of a dedicated section of the Guarantee Fund, up to a tax credit for the digitization of travel agencies and tour operators. The decree also establishes a revolving fund through which non-repayable contributions will be recognized in support of energy requalification, environmental sustainability, and digital innovation.
