Italy Update: The employer will have to compensate for parental damage if the death of the worker is due to the assignment to tasks not compatible with his state of health

If a causal link is established between the death of a worker and the assignment of the same to tasks not compatible with his state of health, the employer is liable for non-contractual liability according to art. 2043 c.c.
In the event of that case, therefore, the employer must be ordered to pay compensation for parental loss to the worker’s heirs.
