Switzerland Update: COVID-19 Update: Addition to our article of 29 June 2021
07/07/2021As announced in our article of 29 June 2021, the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) has published its updated list of risk countries as of 26 June 2021. It is part of the current Covid 19 Regulation 3 (as of 26 June 2021, Annex 1).
This means that more third-country nationals will be allowed to enter Switzerland again, though entry from a large number of third countries is still prohibited. Among others, citizens of the USA are – in accordance with the applicable general entry regulations – again authorised to enter Switzerland freely, i.e. also for tourist reasons.
For this purpose there is the SEM’s list of risk countries in detail. The SEM list usually remains unchanged for periods of time but as the Covid-19 situation is changing continuously in view of new variants, further modifications are likely in the future.
