Regional Practices
A growing market with great opportunities and particular requirements.
Africa
Africa is known for its abundance of natural resources but the progress towards a more stable business climate in many areas has resulted in an upsurge of inward investment in a wide variety of sectors.
We have recognized the region’s potential in terms of infrastructure projects, privatization and investment opportunities, both within areas of historical importance such as energy and mining, but also in hotels and resorts, telecommunications, industrial production, agriculture, and financial services.
Our member firms are established firms in their jurisdictions but with international experience and standards and the ability to assist clients through the regulatory and cultural challenges thrown up by doing business in such a diverse continent.
We have dedicated teams and correspondents to assist countries that have traditionally attracted outside interest as well as emerging markets, covering Egypt, Ghana Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Tunisia, with correspondents in Algeria, Cameroon, Kenya, Liberia, and Republic of Congo (Brazzaville), with the capability to manage and source solutions in other countries as well as we have in the past on special projects.
